Excellent overnight stay
Positive: Pre arrival information, location, Bistro food and service and parking.
Negative: Nothing.

A comfortable room, good for a short stay in this area.
Positive: Great central location, decent room with a fantastic view of the South Downs.
Negative: Bathroom fan was very noisy and ran for some time after switching the light off, which was a bit annoying last thing at night.

Perfect location but very poor accomodation
Positive: Location ideal. Car parking nearby. Clean
Negative: Steep stairs- guests should be advised they’re steep when booking . My husband had so was difficult .
Noisy pipes kept us awake . Didn’t manage to sleep properly whilst there .Shower was electric- poor pressure and the hot water kept going cold even when we pulled the cord as advised. Communication was only on message - poor response had to go into the restaurant for more hangars(only 3 for 2 people and 2 nights!) Only 1 roll toilet paper . Very poor for the price. We stay at lots of booking.com properties …this was not one we’d return to …

Overnight stop in pretty village
Positive: Location was so pretty ..little village setting with lots of places to eat and drink ..10 to 15 min drive into Brighton
Nice rooms ..basic but clean with a great selection of tea and coffee..juice also plus porridge!
Lovely view from back bedroom across rolling countryside
Easy access with key codes
Negative: Shower is electric so not a good flow
A little noisy if bedroom is overlooking road but that's during the day ..quite in the late evenings
The bedrooms are above a pub ..so be prepared for restaurant noise ..guests while entering and leaving the restaurant and staff in kitchen late at night
All manageable though and quiet time from 11..00pm noise

Comfy spot to stay, clean, reliable and close to the village carpark
Positive: We’ve stayed here before, so know what to expect. We really like everything about the place except for the stairs
Negative: Just the stairs, but we managed fine
Good to know
